Ah, you're probably right with Gambit - I'm really still learning about the canon, unfortunately! The comic series I'm currently reading had a little more ease on reading Gambit's mind, but then again he was much younger in that one than he normally is so I've been using the fact that LeBeau's pretty young in the movie version to allow him space to develop in the future. Sorry about that *shuffle*

On the other hand, he's not entirely behaving himself when it comes to the mental reads - after all, a gambler likes to hold a little back for emergencies *extra innocent look*
