I feel it redeemed itself by some of Charlie's dialogue. " Oh, you want to talk to the trees, eh? Yeah, great conversationists, trees...," But no Sawyer in cage?! Definitely bad.

Ah, Sawyer... have you seen Coldheart? Mandy got it for me for birthday I think it was and it has some quite marvellous sex scenes in it :D
