I know! It's even worse than that - he'd been busy getting everything ready, she was in the car, engine running, literally ready to go, then the phone came and she *jumped out the car* whilst also putting on the handbrake and then snapped at him! Although I think it's the closest I've seen him to actual annoyance though (bemused, but on his mind). We were trying to thank him gratefully for the help - and the 4x4 team last night, who got us most of the way up the field at 1am but had to give up eventually; however, they gave us a lift to the hotel, which was really sweet of them - and he was trying to thank us for thanking him!
